How to Apply

Here's your step-by-step application guide.

There are a few key pieces of information that you'll need to gather in order to apply for an Achievement Award. Once you have all of the required documents, please mail them in one envelope to the appropriate office.

Step 1 – Read the program requirements carefully.

Step 2 – Download, fill out and sign the program application.

Step 3 – Write, proofread and print your resume.

Step 4 – Print a copy of your unofficial transcript.

Step 5 – Ask a faculty or staff member to write you a letter of recommendation. The letter should be written on official school letterhead, signed and sealed in an envelope.

Step 6 – Write a 600 - 1,200 word essay that answers the question:
What have I accomplished academically and in my work or extracurricular activities to deserve a GEICO Achievement Award?

Step 7 – Now, you're ready to mail your application materials!

Where you send your application packet depends on which school you attend. Please select your school from the drop-down box below. Select "Other" if your school is not listed. An address will appear – this is where you'll want to mail your application packet. If you have any questions, please contact us at achievement@geico.com.

• Correct any errors in grammar or punctuation.
• Choose a faculty recommender who knows you personally and can speak to your achievements.
• Your essay should be double-spaced in an easy-to-read font.
• Before you send your application packet, double check to ensure that all necessary materials are included.
• Remember that your application packet must be postmarked no later than February 20, 2010.
