  • Actuarial Assistants help set our insurance rates and the adequacy of money set aside for payment of future claims. They analyze past and present conditions that affect our industry.
  • Business Analysts use a blend of technical and business skills to research and analyze driver demographics, risk and customer behavior. Their research is the basis for many of our strategic business decisions.
  • Product Management Analysts evaluate elements that contribute to GEICO's profitability and growth. They evaluate our product performance, as well as the legal environment that may affect our business.

In 2005, I started my career with GEICO as a Business Analyst on the Underwriting and Product Management team. Since then, one of my biggest accomplishments has been a promotion to an Underwriting Analyst.

Many of my days are spent working with our computerized underwriting model and interacting with teams on various projects. Using my quantitative skills, I analyze and evaluate possible changes to our underwriting and risk models that will help the company and our customers.

In addition to my analysis responsibilities, I have also trained new analysts and our regional associates on our models and systems.
