Fast-track programs designed to challenge and reward you.

GEICO's development programs seek graduates from top schools across the country. We consider candidates who excel academically, demonstrate leadership on campus, at work or within the community, and who desire to one day lead a team.

Emerging Leaders Program (ELP)
Well-suited for business and computer science majors.

This highly-selective, rotational program offers two distinct career tracks: Operations Management and Information Technology. Emerging Leaders learn our business from the ground-up through various job rotations and special projects, and by working with mentors and attending management seminars. Our goal is to help you become a successful manager in IT or one of our major insurance operations within two to three years.

Supervisor Leadership Program (SLP)
Designed for students with significant coursework in business.

This fast-track program develops future supervisors within one of our major business operations: Sales, Service, Claims or Auto Damage. SLP associates attend in-house training, receive on-the-job experience, work to achieve top results, and attend supervisor preparation classes. At the end of your program, you'll be ready to apply for a team supervisor position within GEICO.

Participants in the ELP and SLP advance throughout their programs based upon individual performance. Both programs are offered in select locations.

Since graduating in 2005, I have been a part of GEICO's Emerging Leaders program, working in the Operations Management track.

Since graduating in 2005, I have been a part of GEICO's Emerging Leaders program, working in the Operations Management track.

I chose GEICO because of the opportunities available within our fast-growing company, and the commitment that our management team has to developing hard-working, ambitious talent into successful leaders.

As a part of the Emerging Leaders program, I have rotated through several departments. These experiences give me the opportunity to understand all aspects of GEICO's dynamic business and are preparing me for a management position in the future.

Emerging Leader, Information Technology

After graduation in 2004, I began my career at GEICO in the Emerging Leaders program.

After graduation in 2004, I began my career at GEICO in the Emerging Leaders program. A typical day for me in the Information Technology track includes leading meetings and projects, working with our JAVA development team, and designing new applications.

The program has offered me opportunities to work on data warehouse migrations, to learn about our mainframe environment, and to assist our Internet team.

In 2004, I chose to start my career with GEICO because of the opportunity for professional development, the outstanding growth of the company, and its reputation for providing great service.

It was important for me to find a company that valued its customers, employees and the community. After finishing my training program, I was promoted to a supervisor in our customer service department.

This leadership position allows me to interact with my team, other departments, and management. Everyday offers a variety of rewarding work and the ability to make a real contribution. Not only am I part of the service team, but I also participate on our United Way and Diversity committees.
