Leadership Programs

Fast-track programs designed to challenge and reward you!

We're hiring bright, driven college graduates from across the country to become future business and IT leaders. Our two management training programs seek candidates who excel academically, possess demonstrated leadership skills and desire to one day lead a team.

Emerging Leaders Program (ELP)

Designed for Business, Math, Computer Science and related majors; 3.5 overall GPA requirement.

This highly-selective leadership program offers two unique career tracks:

  • Operations Management - Emerging Leaders in this track learn about our multi-billion dollar business from the ground up. They participate in several job rotations, attend classroom training, receive hands-on call center experience, learn to coach other associates, and contribute to special company-wide projects.
  • Information Technology - IT Emerging Leaders develop their technical, business and project management skills while rotating through various IT departments. This track is available within our Maryland corporate office and offers the opportunity to utilize the latest in web and mobile technologies.

Emerging Leaders also receive mentoring from senior management, attend leadership conferences and interact with associates at all levels. Our goal is to develop you into a successful manager within one of our major insurance operations or as a lead within our IT division. This comprehensive management program is often referred to as "getting a GEICO MBA" by current associates and program graduates.

Supervisor Leadership Program (SLP)

Requires a Business major, minor or significant business coursework*; 3.2 overall GPA requirement.

This accelerated leadership program develops future supervisors within one of our major insurance operations: Sales, Customer Service, Claims or Auto Damage.

As an SLP associate, you will receive industry-leading training, need to pass insurance exams, gain on-the-job call center experience, work to achieve top results and attend supervisor preparation classes. At the end of your program, you'll be ready to apply for a team supervisor position!

*Candidates with a non-business degree who have taken at least four college-level business courses (Finance, Accounting I & II, Economics, Marketing, Business Law, Statistics and/or Information Systems) will also be considered for the Supervisor Leadership Program.

Associates in GEICO's management training programs advance based upon individual performance. The ELP and SLP are offered in most major office locations.
